2011-2012 Training Courses

Welcome to the CMHA Training Website for the 2011-2012 season.

This website lists all the training courses that we offer to parents that volunteer in our minor hockey programs as well as volunteers from other hockey associations.

NOTE 1 : All volunteers at the IP level are required to complete the "Let em Play" online program which can be found by following this link: http://elearning.odha.com/

NOTE 2 : Coach Stream is mandatory for assistant coaches on Competitive Teams (i.e. Cumberland Jr. Grads). House League assistant coaches are encouraged to take this course.

Coach Developmental - Level I

This course is not required for House League Coaches. However, we are encouraging our Coaches to take this course since they will benefit from it.

This course is mandatory for all Competitive level Head Coaches. Full certification at the Coach Stream level (see above course) for one season is mandatory before any coach is eligible to take the Development 1 course.

Trainer Re-Certification

The Trainer on-line re-certification program allows Trainers who are certified at Level 1 and have expiry dates in August of the current year, the ability to re-certify without having to attend a full one day Trainer Level 1 course. 

 

For example, any trainer whose certification expires August 31st, 2011 is eligible for the on-line course this year.

 

 

Course Sign Up and Payment Process:

  • Course sign up and payment is done using this website. Once you sign up and pay for a course, you will be sent an email with a printable eTicket. Your credit card will be charged.
  • If a course is full, enter your information onto the 'Waiting List' for that course. Other courses are offered on the www.odha.com website under Clinics.
  • To switch courses, please send email to sue-evans@cumberlandminorhockey.ca
  • Payment is done in advance via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) or PayPal account.
    • You do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card,  we are simply using their payment processing service.
    • Your credit card information is not visible to any member of the CMHA or anyone else for that matter.
  • We will NOT be accepting payment at the door.

Refund Policy

  • No refunds for cancellations less than 48 hours before the course.
  • No refunds for 'no-shows'.
  • To request a refund, send an email to: sue-evans@cumberlandminorhockey.ca at least 48 hours BEFORE the start of the course. This gives us time to find a replacement.

Reimbursements for CMHA Volunteers

All "Cumberland Minor Hockey Association - House League" volunteers will be reimbursed for taking these courses. The procedure is:

  • Sign up and pay for a course using your credit card.
  • Once you have taken the course and we have verified you as a parent volunteer in our association, then we will refund your credit card within 30 days of taking the course.
  • You are subject to the refund policy above. If you cannot make the course, you need to let us know 48hrs in advance.

Volunteers from other associations should contact their home association for reimbursement.

How We Manage Training Course Registrations

The CMHA uses the EventBrite online event management tool to manage the course registrations. We use PayPal to handle the credit card processing.
